There is something breathing more life into the historical hood known as Film Row, in Oklahoma City!
In the 1930s, Sheridan Avenue was THE destination for theater owners looking to screen and lease films for their movie houses. Dubbed “Film Row,” it was home to all big box film companies like Paramount Pictures, (as seen below) MGM, Universal, Fox and of course Warner Brothers.
Today, this trendy district breathes life again, thanks to the efforts of entrepreneureal civilians who had a dream. Sailor and The Dock, is one of these venues who dared DREAM BIG. Just as a dock is a destination where sailors and explorers meet to go on a journey, Sailor and The Dock is where local creators, entrepreneurs, artists, and promoters of the community join to sail off on their journey – big or small – to fulfill on that which is most important to them in the world!
We are thrilled to showcase Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel in this brand new venue, in such a historic neighborhood. Oklahomans far and wide, will be able to view Michelangelo’s most iconic work, in an Up-Close, never-before-seen perspective. This is also a rare chance at going to Rome, without having to travel there.
